"Possessing a solid ruby color, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Signature is a forward, supple and sweetly fruited beauty that has lots of incense, pepper, licorice and spice in a medium to full-bodied, rounded sexy style. It's another wine that won't get much better, but should actually hold nicely in the cellar given its overall balance. Still, no need to delay gratification here." Jeb Dunnuck

About the Producer

Laetita and Julien Barrot have managed Domaine la Barroche since the early 2000s. This prestigious domaine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape has sandy and limestone soil. The vineyard consists largely of old Grenache vines, complemented by Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault, Clairette Blanche, and Vaccarèse. The wine is aged for an average of 18 months in various sorts of containers: foudres (large casks), barrels, and concrete vats. Cuvée Signature has fresh ripe fruit aromas and Pure, made from century-old Grenache vines, is extremely smooth and elegant.
