Château Beychevelle

Château Beychevelle is a fourth Growth in the 1855 classification, on the Appellation Saint-Julien. The name comes from the fact that boats navigating in the 17th century had to "drop the sails" when sailing in front of the Château, when it was owned by the Governor of Guyenne.
