Château Laville Haut-Brion

The "Laville Haut-Brion" appellation originaly refers to a combination of two different Estates. The two Estates "Clos Laville" and "Château La Mission Haut-Brion" were united in 1928, by the owner of La Mission Haut-Brion, who at the time was Frédéric Woltner. That year, he purchased the neighbouring Vineyard, Clos Lavile, that covered 2.5 hectares and was producing 12,35 hecoliters of red wine, with 33,75 hectoliters of white wine. of Clos Laville was elaborated, and no archive document mentions the existence of a white wine of the Mission Eatste, that would have been produced before 1927. There has only been four vintages of Château La Mission Haut-Brion white: 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930. The labels then bore the mention "Grand Premier Cru".
