Clos Venturi

Corsica is a good island, naturally rich and fertile. Manu Venturi understood this well, when he founded his own Estate at the heart of Ponte Leccia. This village, at the center of the the Corsican countryside, is located at the crossing of the roads leading to bastia, Ajaccio and Calvi.

Nielluccio, Sciaccarello, Bianco Gentile, Genovese...Clos Venturi is in itself like an open air museum of grape varieties, and the cuvées often assemble grapes from the north and south of the island.
The vines are cultivated in organic viticulture, using indegenous yiests.

The white is clearly one of the best expressions of Vermentino on the island: planted in altitude on schists, it offers great texture and saltiness. The "Chiesa Nera" cuvées are highly recommendable in both colours. With time, the style of the Estate is more subtle and the entire range will improve even more!
