Domaine de Galouchey

On the Dordogne'banks, seven kilometers from Libourne, blossoms the small wine estate of Galouchey.
The vineyard, which faces Saint Emilion and Pomerol, takes roots in 2002 on lands completely free from any chemical fertilizer: enough to make a wonderful "garden wine", on a human scale. Their team is a trio of three enthusiasts: Jean Terrade, Gérard Pantanacce and Marco Pelletier.…
The plantation area is (barely) one hectare and regroups the autochthonal region's grape varieties: merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and carménère.
The maturations are then made in second wines barrels, almost just like in Burgundy. The idea is to accompany, not to extract. A farmers work, the "Wine of Garden" is above all a jewel of goldsmithery. …
