Château Branaire-Ducru

Château Branaire-Ducru is a Saint-Julien Appellation fourth growth in the 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines. Since Patrick Maroteaux took over in 1988, now assisted by his son François-Xavier, major efforts have been achieved in order to improvethe quality and regularity of the wines. Dominique Videau took over from Philippe Dhalluin as technical manager, and each plot is now vinified separately, and the wines are aged for 18 months in oak barrels. The Branaire-Ducru wine is particulartly supple, with a velvety texture.
