Clos des Papes

Clos des Papes is a historic estate located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it has belonged to the Avril family for many years. Paul-Vincent took over from his father, Paul, in 2009. With a total of 32 hectares of vines, the estate covers 24 different plots featuring a wide variety of soils and microclimates. The estate has been certified as organic since 2010. Yields are kept deliberately low (18 hectolitres per hectare on average).
