Château Belair-Monange

In Saint-Emilion, this Premier Grand Cru Ranked B has been owned by Edouard Moueix since 2012. Château Magdelaine's vineyard is now part of the blend of Belair Monange: this vegetal heritage has without a doubt been key for this Estate to embody the renewal of the Appellation. The merlots (composing 85% of the final blend) and the cabernet francs are rooted on chalk stones, with a strong proportion of blue clay, on the hillsides. The vinification has to be gentle (with short macérations or little extractions), and the latest vintages are impressive with verticality, concentration and purity.
