The producer

Château Simone

The story of Château Simone dates back to the early 19th century with the acquisition of the property by the Rougier family in 1830. Jean Rougier, representing the fourth generation of Rougiers on the estate, was key to the development of Château Simone and the production of wines of a remarkably high quality. The iconic white wine is the result of a subtle blend of Clairette (80%), Grenache blanc (10%), Ugni blanc (6%), Bourboulenc (2%) and Muscat blanc (2%) while the Château Simone red is made from Grenache (45%), Mourvèdre (30%), Cinsault (5%) and a few secondary grape varieties.
