The producer

Champagne Pierre Gerbais

The Estate is located in the Marnes department of the Champagne region, in Celles sur Ource. This is a soil rich in chalk from the kimmeridgien period, that resembles more the soils of Chablis or Sancerre. We might be tempted to link the Chardonnay to this region, but it is actually the Pinot Noir that gives the majority of expressions here. Aurélien Gerbais manages the Estate today, and develops the range with energy, which makes his Estate an exception in the region, and across Champagne. Each cuvée pays homage to a given grape variety. L'Audace is a digest and very fresh pinot noir. The chardonnay of the Osmose cuvée is aromatic and saline. The Originale is a rare lecture of pinot blanc, and a true favourite. The palate is plush and the final is textured, with aromas of white pepper and almond skin.
