Clos Joliette
The Clos Joliette is in Jurançon what the Château Yquem is to Sauternes: the crown guarded of a Kingdom.
The oldest and smallest vineyard in Jurançon only covers one and a half hectares.
It is therefore unlikely to come across some of the two thousand bottles produced each year!
Fortunately, the bottle can travel through the ages, and this infinite potential keeps it at the pantheon of the greatest sugars on the planet.
The wine comes from century-old manseng vines, an indigenous grape variety from the southwest. The grapes are picked in December, when the concentration reaches its peak.
The tasting of this wine is then a unique experience, it allows to understand the power of the soil and the expression of a grape of all contrasts. What a deep span, what vibrant acidity!
If the balance had a name, we would certainly give it the name of Joliette.
