Domaine Henri Richard

Here's the English translation of the text: Henri Richard was part of the first generation of oenologists to graduate in 1939. In 1977, he passed on his estate to his eldest daughter, Margaret, and his son-in-law, Jean Bastien. Under the impetus of Patrick Maroiller, the estate began its conversion to organic farming in 2001. In 2013, the estate was taken over by Henri Richard's grandchildren, Richard Bastien and Sarah Bastien-Berthier. Richard is an oenologist and Sarah holds a master's degree in international business. They were joined in the same year by Guillaume Berthier, an agricultural engineer and oenologist. Thanks to him, the estate obtained Demeter certification in 2018 for the production of its wines using biodynamic farming. Partially vinified with whole clusters in an infused style, the wines, from the Gevrey-Chambertin "Aux Corvées" to the superb Mazoyères-Chambertin, possess a most refined, graceful, and floral style.
