Domaine Robin Carette

The Domaine Robin Carette, located in Thouarcé in Anjou Noir (Loire Valley), has made a remarkably rapid impression in the natural wine sector. Founded by Robin Carette, the estate is the culmination of a structured professional career change. Installed in January 2021, Robin Carette acquired 5 hectares of vines in Anjou, including 1.5 hectares in the Bonnezeaux appellation. His first vintage was produced as early as the 2021 harvest. The 5-hectare vineyard is dominated by the Chenin grape (4 hectares), complemented by Grolleau and Cabernet. The terroir of the Anjou Noir, characterized by its schist and dark rock soils, imparts the tension, minerality, and freshness to the wines that are the estate's sought-after signature. The environmental commitment is total: the estate has been certified Organic Farming (AB) since the 2022 vintage. The winemaking philosophy aims for the purest expression of the fruit, without artifice. Fermentations are conducted exclusively with indigenous yeasts, and no oenological inputs are used. In the spirit of natural wine, sulfuring is reduced to the strict minimum, with the addition of a minute dose of SO2 only at bottling to ensure stability. "Les Salines" is the estate's emblematic cuvée. It is a Chenin Blanc with a mineral and saline profile. Other cuvées such as Ringo (Grolleau-Cabernet), Redrum (Pineau d’Aunis), and Ernestine complete the range. Robin Carette enjoys an excellent professional reputation. With consistent quality, the estate is now an essential reference for lovers of precise Chenin and natural Loire wines.
