Showing attractive spiced-apple, lemon and pink rose-like florals on the palate, this flows nicely into white-cherry territory with grilled hazelnuts and a core of sorbet-like fleshy peaches and lemons. Champagne Bollinger
Founded in 1829 in Aye, Bollinger belongs to the Bizot and d'Hautefeuille families, and is run by Mr Jérôme Philippon. Bollinger owns a 163 hectares vineyard, mainly planted with Pinot Noirs. A rich and complex champagne, Special Cuvée is a true ambassador for the company, which also elaborates long ageing vintage champagnes such as La Grande Année Blanc and Rosé, Bollinger R.D (for Recently Disgorged), and the champagne "Vieilles Vignes Françaises" whose grapes come from two small plots of pré-phylloxéra vines. La Côte aux Enfants is a still red wine, in Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Coteaux Champenois.
