Domaine de l'A

The Domaine de l'A has established itself as one of the most dynamic estates in Bordeaux. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils, near the village of Sainte Colombe, in the Appellation Côte de Castillon. Stéphane and Christine Derenoncourt are the guardians of it, proud as they are to be working in this lesser known region of the right bank. The man already is an emblematic figure in Bordeaux, he actually has dedicated his life counselling other winegrowers before to finally engage himself on his own Estate. A guide to men, he now wishes to guide grapes! He is fully determined to extract the best of his terroir, focusing on the purity and the frehsness of the fruit. The extractions are soft, the wooden touches always discreet. In the glasses, the wines are impressively lively! Cabernet Franc accompanies a majority of Merlot, and brings extra length to the wine. The Estate is now major, and must be discovered by any wine lover, or anyone feeling nostalgic of great eternal Bordeaux.
