The producer

Domaine Luneau-Papin

Pierre Marie (and his wife) took over the family estate of 30 hectares in 2005 alongside Pierre and Monique, his parents. Strong of this union, the Domain Luneau Papin shines today in the firmament of the great vineyards of the « Pays Nantais ». The winemakers are very invested in the valorization of the appellation (especially through the recognition of the wines of the muscadet) and the wines do not have to blush before their Ligerian neighbors. The parcels of the Domain are divided between the villages of Landreau, Chapelle-Heurlin and Vallet and the vineyard alone brings together the huge diversity of Muscadet terroirs. The vine plants its roots through granite rocks (gneiss, schists, orthogneiss) or gabbro (amphibolites) The whole vineyard is conducted in organic (certified in 2016) and biodynamic viticultures and the wines get, each year, more and more energetic. Among the different vintages of the Domain, Terre de Pierre radiates through its tactile dimension «rock water» and its crystal-clear purity. Opening a bottle of the Domain allows us to understand the subtlety and power of the ‘melon of Burgundy’ (grape variety), which, worked with care, offers the taster a wine with a long-keeping potential.
