The producer
Vieux Château Certan
Vieux Château Certan is one of the oldest Estates of the Pomerol Appellation. It that has been owned for more than a century by the Tienpont, a family particularly respected in Bordeaux. Guillaume Thienpont, oenologue, joined his father in 2011 to run the Estate. The 14 hectares vineyard in planted with 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the choice of a reasoned agriculture was made, in order to preserve the environment.
