This winegrower took several assignments in Burgundy and Beaujolais, before to choose to settle in the Hautes-Corbières, between Durban and Villeneuve. The wines from this region are easily labelled overripe and massive, Maxime Magnon produces digest and sincere bottles, juices vibrant and pure. With their juicy fruit, they are accessible in their youth. Ageing confers them with more deepness and a velvety touch. La Bégou, a white from Grenache Gris is quite simply one of the best whites in Languedoc. The reds, labelled Corbières, are surprising with their ripe cherry aromas, strawberry, raspberry and tanins just the right strength. A natural acidity sustains it all.
