Domaine des Croix

David Croix leaves his native Loire to sublimate the Burgundian pinot noir. In 2002 he works as a stage manager in the Camille Giroud trading house before settling on his own in Beaune when he bought the domain Duchet. Little by little, the Domain des Croix extends to reach 8 hectares spread over the villages of Savigny-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and finally the famous hill of Corton (classified Grand Cru) The organic style of the Domain is pretty clear: living matters, very little handled and never under intensive maturation. The wines thus quickly reach a level of purity rarely equalled in the appellation. Pinots noirs do not betray their « Beaunois » terroir: they seduce by their accessibility and a flexibility characteristic of the appellation. The wines, however, are never lacking in depth or relief, like the Beaune Premier Cru Les Bressandes. Deep, spherical and voluminous, the wine extends itself of its entire length. For all pinot noir lovers who do not yet know David’s wines, we strongly advise you to buy a bottle !
