The producer

Domaine François Chidaine

François Chidaine established his estate with just 4 hectares in Montlouis. The soil is mainly composed of tuffeau, a typical and crumbly chalk from the Touraine region. Following the advice of winegrowers Didier Dagueneau and Nady Foucault, François Chidaine adapted to this terroir, with great determination: no chemicals or phytosanitary products would penetrate the Estate least of all or its precious limestone rock. The soils are deliberately covered with grass and the vines host a reserve of mellifère plants to create a viable ecosystem. The wines are always pure, elegant, generous and ripe.
