Ermitage du Pic Saint Loup

Three brothers Jean-Marc, Xavier and Pierre Ravaillle give a joint impulsion to this ancient Estate, located just at the feet of the majestic Pic Saint Loup. Here the vines grow next the Olive trees, fruity trees and a herd of lambs: this polyculture is proof of a fertile Languedoc region. The vines of the Ermitage are at mid-slope, their roots digging through compact clay and hard limestone. The yields there are always low. If Sainte Agnès (a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan) is more accessible in its youth, it will age several years. He is the ideal partner for the summer roasts! Ghilhelm Gaucelm, made from 50% very old vines of Grenache pruned in Gobelet, and aged in vats, shows some concentration and at the same time some finesse. The bottle is one of the top wines of the Pic Saint Loup Appellation.
