Domaine Aussigouins

Located in Rablay sur Layon, the great terroir of Aussigouins gives its name to the sole 100% chenin blanc cuvée, dry, by Dominique Dufour. Here, next to the famous Montbenaults, the winegrower sublimates the musts. Dominique was born in Rablay and had in career in aeronautics before to come back to his beloved Anjou. Now retired, he turns his full attention to the management of the 70 ares inherited from his parents. This precious vegetal heritage is rooted into schists and spiite, a type of soil of volcanic nature. The Estate is a young one, its first vintage being 2014, but the wines already belong with the top chenins of the Loire Valley.
